Any ATB users out there?

I have recently obtained a copy of the Articulated Total Body computer program. I have talked with an ATB expert and am embarking on the learning curve. I thought feedback from other users would be helpful.

For those who are not aware the Articulated Total Body is a computer program which simulates the movements and injuries to crash victims. It grew out of the CVS (crash victim simulator) program of years gone by. It is used by the US Department of Defense for modeling fighter pilot cockpit experiences including ejection. The Navy has used it to study effects of ship motion for people on the bridge. And DOT has used it in their research.

Right now the only source for the program that I am aware of is the Air Force. They send it to you in exchange for $1 000. It does run on a 386 with a math coprocessor but it is a little slow.

An enhanced version of the program is known as Dynaman and apparently sells in the $5 000. range.

A similar program is MADYMO but the company that markets this wants a $10 000 annual lease.

Lets discuss pros & cons of ATB (and other CVS software). And lets share some of the "hard to come by" knowledge.
