Good reply..friction alone will not make the skid mark..it should be a combination
of the petrolum in the asphalt and the petroleum(rubber) in the tire but have you seen
a skid mark on an asphalt road that was white?

I see these marks on old asphalt and especially asphalt that the sliding tire was on
that was wet(not your usual skid mark)
