Bill;
Tom is right. Research into the R D directories at the NHTSA site and you will
find their databases. They are in text only or G-Zipped. They offer the GZIP
program for decompressing the files. The database gives crash (frontal side
or rear) data using the SAE codes for PDOF information etc. Provided is the
crash speed (generally 34.9 mph) and the metric dimensions of crush depth.
Take this information and put it in John Perry's cute little Stiff1 program
and you will get A-B G values. Or if your crush values are similar
you can infer speed ranges from the crash data. Again speed from crush is not
an exact science. See Gordon Biggs paper on the Uses and Abuses of Speed Change
from Crush Measurements.
Have a great day.
