SAE is the Society of Automotive Engineers.
Homepage is www.sae.org
Papers less than two years old cost $5, older ones are $10 (S/H apply)
Papers are not available on-line. They require that you pay to play.
They have a really neat congress in Detroit each year in February.
They have an Accident Investigation and Reconstruction Practices Committee
(that's AIRP for those of us in the know)
There is LOTS of data available, but you'll have to find someone with a copy
of the database (or the hardcopy, ugh) to search out what you want. For a
mere $300 you can get a database which includes all the accident recon, safety,
occupant protection, etc. papers published since '03 or so. It comes with abstracts,
and is fairly useful.

I'd be pleased to answer additional questions, if the homepage can't.

Wade.

If there is no current post, and you would like to add to this topic, link to the Current ARnews Discussion and begin a new thread. Be sure that if you are starting a new post that the thread title does not contain the abbreviation RE: Placing RE: at the beginning of a new post will confuse Hypermail and prevent others from answering your post in the future.

For example, to continue this discussion look for a thread titled

Low Speed Impact Injuries

If this thread does not exist in the current archive, you can begin another one by using that title.
