I waited to see if Jim Mitchell could help first. In 1980 all VIN's were
standardized at 17 numbers/letters. Prior to that date VIN identifiers were
set by each vehicle's manufacturer.

Your vin is listed to a 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu 2 door sports coupe
equipped with a v-8 engine. The car was assembled in Arlington TX. Specs
for that year has a wheelbase of 116.0" OAL- 201.5: OAW- 75.4" curb weight
of 3436 lbs.
