Princess Diana's Crash

I am not amazed at the speculation and the guilt slinging concerning
this crash. It is not new to me considering the time I have been a cop
and a crash investigator. I have read the other threads concerning this
tragic crash and I have the following thoughts. Let's wait for the French
and British crash investigators to render an opinion based on the evidence
they possess and not on what the news media produces wholesale to get
air time. We don't have access to any evidence, absent a few lousy
photographs on the networks.
The tragedy is that apparently Princess Diana dismissed, or had dismissed,
her Scotland Yard bodyguard last year, if the news reports are correct.
If that's true, that's sad. As all of us cops know, had that Officer
been there a drunk would never have been allowed to drive her, she would
have been made to use her occupant restraint system, and the speeds would
never have been allowed to get out of control.
