ARnews is a public archive for Traffic Accident Reconstructionists.
A Reconstructionist is a person that analyzes motor vehicle collisions.

Some time ago a Reconstructionist offered the free VIN research to
others in the field that needed the information for their work. The
offer was made specifically for "Those in the Field".

Since then others have taken advantage of the offer. The volume
Of requests has been so great the offer has been withdrawn.

So there is no point in requesting the information. You will get no
response to your inquiry.

My best recommendation for obtaining free VIN information would
be a newsgroup like rec.auto.your_make.
