We are using the LTI Impluse unit in a complete AI system, it was designed for taking measurments only, not speed. The Impluse unit , data collector, downloads to Quick Map and then is converted for use in a CAD program, we are using Auto Sketch at this time. When used properly it is a great system. As some of you may know Laser Radar was knocked down in a test case here in New Jersey. The State Police were using it in a few areas in hopes to get case law. Our court reconized that the LTI laser radar unit is an accurate device for taking measurments, but knocked it out for speed measuring. The State is in the process of appealing the case ??? Also, LTI makes the laser that is used on the space shuttle for NASA. The support from LTI has been great, the answer any questions on any part of the system and provided training at no additional cost.
