Guys:

I finally got the lab over at the local nuclear power plant to run a static
dynamometer test on the Plymouth isolator. Surprisingly, the very low-speed
test revealed a somewhat linear response during the 1-inch of compression
ultimately peaking out and stabilizing around 2800 pounds (one isolator).

This unique case allowed the use of the maximal force as well as a range
of 100 to 150 milliseconds for collision duration. This "worst-case"
scenario still revealed a delta-speed of only about 1.9 mph for the target vehicle
in this rear-ender.... We used the "Modified direct barrier" algorithm
espoused by the MacInnis fellas. Without something weird, I don't see much
room for validating complaints of any injury, especially to the degree claimed
in this case.
