Nissan Altima Airbag Deploymenr

I'm investigating an MVA involving a 1993 Nissan Altima. The airbag deployed in a relatively minor impact.

There were no deaths or injuries caused by the airbag.

I have been told that the location of the 1993 Nissan Altima caused the vehicle's airbag to deploy at excessively low speeds. It was relocated in later models.

I was wondering if others have noticed this problem with the Nissan Altima. What type of force was needed to deploy the poorly located sensor? What type of EBS would have deployed the airbag?
