I got the idea from training I recieved at Northwestern University, It was covered under topic 862 in the Traffic Accident Reconstruction manual vol. 2. The basic theory is discussed in an article in the Accident Reconstruction Journal Vol. 2 iss 6, by Willimam Pultar, If I can locate any others I'll post,
