Marking the Roadway

As a Reconstructionist with a Police Department I have the opportunity to be called out in the most inclement weather situations. When possible I try to use spray chalk to mark my evidence and final rest positions for mapping at a more weather convienent time. I have used carpenter's crayon in rain but when returning to the scene for mapping it is difficult at times to locate the thin crayon lines. Is there some other way of marking the roadway in a rainy, wet situation? Please let me know what works or doesn't, Thanks.
