You may want to consider the American Academy of Forensic Sciences.
AAFS is a broad based group of professionals woking in the various
fields within the forensic sciences. There is a very active section
devoted to the Engineering Sciences where the various people
engineering discplines can exchange information. I know there are
some in the engineering section that are involved in aviation accidents.
