If you use a vault formula with a 45 degree take off angle you would establish
a minimum speed that would be useful.

When you start looking at landing and sliding you have a straight forward skid
to stop calculation. During my training we actually dragged our classmates around
on the end of a spring scale and established a co-efficient for a sliding person.
