Dwain,

I use a similar set up for my scenes. I have always been impressed with not only the reliability of the Nikon, but also the aftyer sale support has been phenomenal. It is an extremely friendly device, and having the Nikon instrument lab just up the freeway is an extra plus. I doubt most recon folks will need a device that has a greater than 1000 foot radius. Though there may be those rare fog/snow storm/sand/smoke etc. collisions that'll chain scenes together for extended periods. Of course, moving the transit is no huge deal.
