Types of Total Survey Stations/ Software for Accident Investigation Use

Need some advice as to what you consider the best total survey package
for Police Accident Investigators to be. Currently need to complete a
submission to my department to purchase. Understand that the
total stations are basically the same, but is there anything that I should
steer away from, and importantly, is there a great difference in software
packages that I should be aware of?

Appreciate any assistance.
