I would think that, even in this high tech day and age, a drag sled pulled
along the paint would give you a good co-efficient (providing that your
technique is correct).

Of course, you would need to test under the same conditions as the crash.

I ride a motorcycle myself and, I've been lucky enough to learn without
crashing to avoid wet paint stripes. They are very slick and if I have to
cross them to take them as close to 90 degrees as possible.

S.A.E. has published a paper, SAE 830612, on unusual friction coefficients.
However, it doesn't have anything on wet pavement markings. You might check
with your local road department. They might have some data that you can use.
