Rudolf Limpert's "Brake Design and Safety" was published by SAE in 1992. This particular text has numerous errors, including erroneously dividing by 4.46 to convert forces in pounds to Newtons throughout most of the book. Thus he reports 100 pounds to be equal to 22N, instead of the correct value of 446N. SAE sells this book at a big discount these days, but does not include an errata sheet, and has not responded to my pleas for same. A more detailed list of my complaints with the first 100 pages can be found at my web page http://ttlc.net/~wbartlett/rudy.htm
