MARRS II Friction Tester

I recently helped an engineer set up a MARRS II Friction Tester to test for the
coefficient of friction on a floor in a restraunt. It involved a slip and fall
case. This device seemed to be extremely accurate. Has anyone ever used it
to test for the coefficient of friction of a roadway? It appeared a lot easier
to read than the conventional drag sled method in which one is quessing at what
scale is actually reading. Any comments?
