Effects of undersized spares on a vehicle's performance

I am currently searching for any and all information on how an undersized or "donut" spare could affect the performance of a car. I am an attorney and specifically, I have a case where my client was driving a Ford Mustang GT with such a tire on one of the rear wheels. She lost control of the car while travelling approximately 60-65 MPH down the freeway. According to the reconstruction work that has been done so far, her car began turning in a counter-clockwise direction. The tire was on the rear, passenger-side wheel. As a result, the car went across the median and struck another vehicle. Apparently, the tire did not blow out, but I think it could have been a factor in the accident. A witness says that the Mustang was cut off by another car right before it lost control.

If anyone can help me to find any documentation on this, or could offer any expertise to me, I would appreciate it greatly. Also, if there are any accident reconstructionists in Arizona that could possibly assist me in this case, let me know, and we can discuss terms, etc. Thanks.
