This illustration shows two continuous loop systems. To the left are the passenger side buckle and driver side belt and latch plate from a mid 90s Ford pick-up truck. Note the button in the webbing that prevents the latch plate from sliding to the floor. This keeps the latch plate "handy" for use.

At right are the passenger side buckle and belt from a mid 90s General Motors sedan. This continuous belt also has a button .It is concealed behind the latch plate in this photograph.
