The inference that must be made from all of the comments that have been received is that the stuck needle does not correctly indicate the speed of the motorcycle because it was not capable of traveling that fas. Therefore we must also conclude that iIf the bike could not have been traveling as fast as the stuck needle reads, then we cannot infer much of ANYTHING from the needle reading. Therefore we must be sure to explain to a jury or whoever that we also cannot conclude that the bike was traveling at the highest speed it was capable of, simply because the needle reads higher.
