What is the best degree program for a TAR career?

I am a junior in a structural engineering program and a
10 year veteran of police work. I have conducted many
accident investigations. I want to know:

1) Are there any college degrees or options offered in
accident reconstruction? If not what is the next best program?
a) Mechanical
b) Civil
c) Transportation

2) Are there any employers that offer intern or coop
employment in the field (preferably in conjunction
with an education)?

I currently reside in Klamath Falls Oregon (halfway between
Portland and San Francisco) but could relocate for the right
program. Any guidance or information would be greatly appreciated.
