Have read answers from previous responders and agree with whatt they are
saying as far as accuracy of a home made drag sled. I utilized several methods
to determine the coefficient of friction while I was in law enforcement but found
that the best method was to utilize a bumper gun on a sliding vehicle. It was
easier to explain in court and I testified primarily in NY area. When I went into
private l practice it became even easier when testifying in NYC because one
judge took judicial notice that ALL ROADS in New York City have a drag factor
of .70. (And they wonder why we scratch our heads.)
