This is a good informative thread regarding drag sleds. We've used an IPTM spec. concrete and rubber tire drag sled with consistant results. Comparison with the Vericom computer and the newer Vericom 2000 computer show readings within 0.01 variation. The Vericom 2000 readings have been conservative consistant and downloadable. Viewing a Vericom 2000 graph of the dynamic g's tends to verify the fluctuations obtained with a drag sled in dymamic motion. The drag sled has proven invaluble when obtaining drag coefficients off the road when conditions were too hazardous for a Vericom skid test; such as on grass sand and dirt.
