I guess we did digress a little bit. Kenneth suggestion to document and then disect the evidence, disregarding the tire marks and evidence items that are inconsistent with the motion of the involved vehicle(s) is the proper way to attack such a problem. As far as trying to disregard marks by determining their age, I know of no reliable way to do that.
