I was called in to assist on a similar job several years ago. Ped was crossing east to west and vehicle was travelling south. Vehicle hit ped and drove to a stop. Ped went through the top third of the windshield with no contact to the hood. He went in until his hips caught the roof line of the car. His legs then flipped over the top and left two very nice imprints in the roof. He then came to rest on the console in between the two front seats, next to the driver. She pushed him aside to get to her car phone to call 911. We never did determine a speed other than we felt she was being honest and told us she was travelling 40-45 MPH (35 MPH zone) and a witness who was following her said the same. Oh by the way, the drunken ped lived and was released a week later after two broken legs and a concussion.
