Professional Liability Insurance for Private Accident Reconstructionists

I am looking for advice on whether or not I need errors ommision/liability
insurance for my private practice. Discussions with a few colleagues
indicates that not many have it. Firstly they say it is too costly, and
secondly they are not aware of anyone being sued in this line of work.
Of course this is Canadian input only. I guess my question is, do you feel
it is a necessity, and how much insurance is enough. Also, do any of the
AR associations offer a group insurance policy that would cover this ??

I am looking for the Canadian viewpoint on this issue but anybody's opinion
and suggestions are welcome.
