I am currently reconstructing an accident involving a cabover tractor.
The tractor hit the back of a flatbed trailer doing approximately 60mph.
My examination of the cabover tractor revealed that the crushline was
above the front bumper. The cab tilt brackets were bent rearwards shearing
off the steering column from the steering box, due to the close proximity
of the steerig box to the front of the vehicle. I would like to know if
this issue has been addressed,if anyone else has experienced this problem,
or if it is common. And who I need to contact to see if this problem can be
corrected. Thank you for your assistance and input.
