In this particular accident the steering column was sheered off at the
steering box due to the initial impact with another flatbed trailer. The
truck then veared off to the right up under an overpass crushing the cab
all the way back to the very back tire and into the first of two trailers.
I was able to determine that it was sheered off from the first impact by
the height of the first impact that sheered the column was lower than the
second impact with the overpass. You can also visualy see the cab tilt
bracket bent over the steering box.
