I have so many conflicting reports from all of the newspaper, radio and
television reports that I have decided to wait until an official release
from Paris Police provides the actual facts of the crash. Will we be able
to obtain a copy of that release for dispaly on this web site ?????
... could make for some very interesting reading.

Incidently, I heard a report stating a Mercedes-Benz spokesperson stated
that the speedometer system is electronic and designed to register zero
when the power is cut ... and ... M-B has never seen a speedometer register
anything but zero after a crash test .... perhaps the 120 mph speed is
bogus propaganda released to deflect blame from the media ... wouldn't be
the first time.

The only factual eveidence that I have seen is the photos of the car
which I don't believe show 120 mph of crush ... but as was already
stated I have no experience with armoured vehicles.

Incidently ... another M-B report said that the vehicle in question was
not an armoured vehicle .... who and what can we believe ???
